Did I just step on the world’s tiniest violin? Boo hoo.
- The New Yorker, “Plagiarism, Copying, and Creativity”
This is the best trash talk I’ve ever witnessed in my life. It was in response to an apology post from Quentin Rowan, a writer who plagiarized his whole novel, “Assassin of Secrets” from 34+ sources. He claimed his plagiarism was a sort of addiction, like kleptomania.
I’m calling it Hemingway trash talk - a blunt, intellectual statement to put someone in their place right quick.
